Melissa Terry

 

I am so thankful and excited for the opportunity to serve on staff as the Coordinator of Faith Formation for Grades 1 -6 and First Communion. My family and I have been parishioners at SS. Peter and Paul Church for over 5 years and prior to that were long time parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Sacramento where I was a catechist for over 10 years.  Since joining our parish community, I have worked as the Parish Office Manager and been actively involved in different ministries, including as a catechist in Faith Formation for 4 years, a Youth Ministry volunteer and as a member of the Parish Event Planning Committee.  

 
I grew up in the Bay Area and moved to Sacramento when I married my husband, Chris almost 23 years ago. I graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in Child Development with an emphasis in Early Education. Prior to staying home full-time to raise my 3 children, I worked as a Youth Program Coordinator for the City of Benicia. When I left Benicia, I spent a short time teaching in a combination Kindergarten – 2^nd grade classroom at a private school in San Ramon before moving to Elk Grove to start our family.

I am so excited to bring my experience and love of our Catholic faith to help enrich our Faith Formation program at SS. Peter & Paul Church. I look forward to meeting and serving all of the families and children in our parish community.
