250 Hours of Adoration and Works of Mercy
As we prepare for the consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of of Jesus, SS. Peter & Paul Parish will be joining with other parishes in the Diocese of Sacramento, as well as parishes around the country, by completing 250 hours of Eucharistic Adoration and 250 hours of Works of Mercy.
We invite you to come to the church throughout June, Monday to Friday, anytime between 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and sit in silence with the Lord. It’s a great time to pray the rosary, read scripture, talk to God, pray for the unity and healing of our country, and to listen for His “still, small voice” (1 Kings 19:11-13).
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place in the church on:
Friday, June 5th, 9:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, June 11th, 9:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Thursday, June 18th, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday, June 19th, 9:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Thursday, June 25th, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday, June 26th, 9:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Time spent at Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and time spent performing Works of Mercy can be recorded below, or by filling out forms provided in the church vestibule and chapel. Please feel free to include multiple entries on one form (i.e., a week's worth of hours, or all hours for Adoration or Works of Mercy for the month of June). If filling out a paper entry, please place the completed form(s) in the marked baskets located in the church vestibule or chapel.
Together let us draw nearer to the Heart of Christ, make visible acts of mercy and love in our communities, and pray for unity and healing of our country. Thank you for your participation!
